APPLICATION

- Base Concrete pre-requisites
The base concrete should have a minimum slump of 75 - 100 mm. The concrete mix should be laid and compacted in accordance with good concrete practice and care for the edges and corners. The concrete mix should be designed to minimize segregation and bleeding.

- Polyfloorhard SC Application
Polyfloorhard SC should be applied as it to fresh concrete by dry shake method. It should be applied when light foot traffic leaves an imprint of 3 - 6 mm on the concrete surface.
The application is carried out as follows:

1- Carry out the first broadcast amounting to 2/3 of the specified quantity on the concrete surface. When the broadcast material absorbs moisture from the base concrete, it becomes dark in color. It is then surface treated with the wooden or power float machine.

2- Immediately apply the second cast evenly on the surface by spraying it in a directions perpendicular to the first application. When the surface absorbs moisture it should be floated thoroughly.

3- Apply the STAMP RELEASE to printing procedure to.
3-1 making an isolation layer between COLOUR HARDNER and TEXTURE MATS.
3-2 making colours interferences between C.H. and RELEASE COLOURE after finshing.
The consumption of stamp release is
(100-125 gm / m2).
4- Stamp the coloured green concrete surface with TEXTURE MATS to the desired patern.
5- (2-3) days after printing, wash the concrete stamped surface by water to remove the excess STAMP RELEASE, and leave the concrete to dry.
6- Making the desirable repair if need.
7- Once the concrete is completely dry, apply solvent base STAMP SEALER at rate of 200-250 gm, by using brosh, roller or spraying.

BAY EDGES

Extreme care and attention should be given to bay edges and corners as they endure heavy wear and impact.

a- Immediately after leveling the fresh concrete, sprinkle Polyfloorhard SC by hand at a rate of 5 kg/m2 in strips of 10cm width alongside the bay edges (i.e. 0.5 kg/running meter).

b- Immediately after leveling the fresh concrete, remove a wedge of concrete 10 mm deep at the edges, then apply a stiff mass of Polyfloorhard SC mixed with clean water. This must be fully compacted to the base concrete. The reinforced areas will be further strengthened when subsequent full application is completed.

COVERAGE

2 Kg/m2 for light traffic.
3.5 Kg/m2 for medium traffic.
5 Kg/m2 for heavy traffic.

HEALTH & SAFETY

As with all construction chemical products, caution should always be exercised. Always use protective clothing such as gloves and goggles, and treat any splashes to the skin or eyes with fresh running water immediately. Should any of the products be accidentally swallowed, do not induce vomiting, but call for medical assistance immediately

Quick Overview:

  • Short Description:

Monolithic, Non-metallic, Dry Shake for stamped concrete DESCRIPTION Polyfloorhard SC is a premixed colour surface hardener for stamped concrete which contains hydraulic binders and synthetic mineral aggregates. It is applied on to fresh concrete to obtain an abrasion and chemicals-resistant floor finish and to color the stamped concrete.
