GUIDE FOR APPLICATION
Surface Preparation
All surfaces should be sound, dry, free from oil, grease, loosely adhering particles and any contamination.
Steel surfaces should be free from rust & scale, recommended to be sandblasted to SA 2 1/2
The concrete age should be 21 days at least with a moisture content less than 5%.
POLYCOATE EP could be used directly without a primer, POLYPRIME EP is compatible to be used as a primer coat when recommended.
Mixing
Stir both Component a (Resin) and Component B well before use. Pour all the amount of the component B (Curing Agent) to the container of Component A (Resin), mix thoroughly till a uniform colour and consistency is achieved. Slow speed electric drill fitted with a mixing paddle is recommended.
Application
Apply the mixed material to the prepared surface using stiff brush, roller or spray (airless with pressure ratio 1: 40). In case of the necessity to a second coat, apply the second coat after 12 - 24 hours @ 20°C.
Cleaning
Clean all tools and equipment immediately after use with POLYSOLVENT EP 20
Packaging
POLYCOATE EP is supplied in 5 kg or 10 kg packs, (Compound A and Compound B).
Coverage
Approximately 4 - 6 m2 Kg at D.F.T. 150 micron depending up on the conditions of the substrate.
Storage
POLYCOATE EP should be stored at room temperature in dry warehouse away from extreme temperatures.
Shelf Life
One year.
Health and Safety.
- Epoxy Resins contain irritants, especially to the skin, eyes.
- Persons handling these materials should use appropriate protective clothing, including rubber or plastic gloves
- If the epoxy resin came in contact with the skin, it should be removed immediately with a dry cloth or paper towel, and the areas of contact washed thoroughly with soap and water
